Expert-led Witness Preparation
Evident Plus includes all the elements of Evident Essential to help the witness perform at their best with the added insight and benefit of a specialist clinical or performance psychologist.

Giving evidence is stressful and difficult experience. Skilled advocates can use cross-examination to force unprepared witnesses into a corner or lead them to forget an important part of their evidence. Breaking down during evidence can be catastrophic to the credibility of a witness. Our specialist psychologists give your witnesses the edge, understanding and enabling them to remain composed and confident in the face of pressure.

Our psychologists first hold a prep-session to meet and understand the witness and give valuable tips and techniques.

​The cornerstone of each course is 3-4 hours of witness preparation with a barrister, performing mock cross-examination, tailored to the witness and their needs. The psychologist also attends the cross-examination or observes it on video. Together with the barrister they conduct a post cross-examination debrief session. Trainers demonstrate the tactics likely to be employed, enabling the witness to be better prepared for giving their evidence.
Venue and Contents of Course
​Training can be conducted in venues and at times suitable to busy witnesses, including through video conferencing.

Our training sessions are recorded. They all include a video-review session and a personalised takeaway Fundamentals Guide, so that the witness can retain a better understanding of how they can improve.
